  • Learning objectives:
    The course aims at providing students with a basic knowledge of the foundations of the legal system of the European Union, through the analysis of the terminological and technical tools necessary to understand the complex process that leads to the adoption of EU legislative acts and to the protection of individuals. In this perspective, the course does not only focus on the acquisition of notions, but aims at developing the student's ability to legal reasoning and independent and critical assessment, in relation to a legal system with specific characteristics and features.

    Written exam (vote expressed in thirtieths), aimed at ascertaining the knowledge and ability to interpret and analyze institutional structure of the European Union.

The course will focus on the legal framework of the European Union and its institutional system. The issues related to the decision-making process, the sources, the relationship between the EU and the Italian legal system, the judicial protection will be particularly deepened. The preparation will include an analysis of the most relevant case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
